About the Contest
The Lions Clubs International placeholderPeace Poster Contest gives young people between the ages of 11 and 13 the chance to IMAGINE, INSPIRE, and CREATE a vision of peace.
Every year 600,000 young people around the world share their visions of peace. The Peace Poster Contest provides these young people the opportunity to showcase their talent. The result: memories that will last a lifetime.
By hosting a local Peace Poster Contest, the Bridgewater Community Lions Club is able to provide these young artists with the opportunity to share their visions.

The District Contest Winner advances to the State level.

The International Contest
The International Grand Prize Winner receives a trip to an award ceremony where he or she will receive $5,000 and an award. Two family members (one being the winner’s parent or legal guardian) and the sponsoring Lions Club president or a club member are invited to accompany the winner to the award ceremony.
23 Merit Award Winners will each receive $500 and a certificate of achievement.
JUDGING THE CONTEST
Each year a theme is chosen to help spark the students’ imaginations. Expression of the theme, artistic merit and originality are the three criteria used to evaluate the posters at all judging levels.
At the international level of the competition, members of the art, education, media, peace and youth communities serve as judges to select the 23 merit award winners and one grand prize winner.
