Bridgewater Community Lions “Arts for Everyone” Festival

The Bridgewater Community Lions Club (BCLC) will host the Second Annual “Arts for Everyone”. Festival at the Bridgewater Middle School Gym on Saturday, November 14th from 9 AM to 3 PM. The school is located at the corner of Center and Mt. Prospect Streets, off Route 18 and Route 104. The Festival will feature an Arts & Crafts Fair in the gymnasium; an art exhibition by the 11-13-year-old contestants of the Lions International Peace Poster contest, and the Bridgewater Senior Painters in the lobby.

Happy New Year (and a can full of spam)!

Happy 2009! Well, we weren’t even a week into the new year before some hacker attacked our site (and others hosted by the same Web Host). The result? Google marked our site as being “dangerous”. While they agrred we weren’t spreading malicious code, they listed us as affiliated with a site that was. It was about a week before I even discovered we had a problem. It was necessary to take the site down for about a day while I found the offending code and removed it.

Eye Make a Difference Day a Huge Success!

Members of the Bridgewater Community Lions (BCLC), the Cub Club, and the Greater Bridgewater Leos Club got together this past Saturday and drove to Weymouth in order to clean, read, and catalogue over 200 pairs of eyeglasses which had been previously collected. The organizer of the event was Robin Piccini, a member of the Bridgewater Community Lions. “We had lots of fun on Saturday. Now that everyone feels comfortable reading glasses [with a lens analyzer]; we should be able to read 120 an hour.
